Hi there,
I recently got a Super D in very nice condition indeed, but would love to have a read of the service manual to understand how the shutter design differs from the Pacemaker and Anniversary shutters, as more than anything I am intrigued by the flash sync. Does anyone have one to hand, or pictures of the shutter mechanisms? The body is working perfectly, so I would prefer to not open her up for purely investigative purposes.

Thanks,

Ebay (us) item # 220810483435 is the only Graflex repair manual I recall ever seeing. It is for the 2x3 RB Series B.

Graflex SLR's are a variation on a theme, all are built similar, all work similar. If you are careful you can tear down, repair, and reassemble without instructions.

The Graflex Focal Plane Shutter remained basically unchanged from its introduction in/around 1907 until 1947 when fewer slots were Incorporated with a governor in the Pacemaker Speed Graphic. The tension lock was changed in the late teens to early 20's.

I have a PDF of instructions on the Graflex FPS that I can email you.

Hi,
I do have service manuals for the Speed Graphic models, and operation manuals for the RBs, however the SuperD seems to have a different kind of flash trigger, which is what I am intrigued by, as there are no contacts on the curtain.

Cheers,
