				| Hey there,
I have a SG with a standard type spring back and the flip up shade door has the two half circles of cloth on each side. Pretty vintage stuff.
My second SG has a spring back as well, but the shade is all metal and reminds me of the shade on a TLR. Can anyone tell me how vintage thise type of shade is? When were they put into production?

 Dana

				| The cloth "bat wing" type goes back to around 1913-1914 on the Top Handle models through the Pre Anniversary and the Anniversary.
The all metal version first appeared on the Pacemaker line in 1947.
